Kids Matter (6 - 11 years)
Kids Matter is a recreational program for children 6 - 11 years and their parents or caregiver that will help develop resiliency and self esteem. Each week we will be planning some fun activities which may include: games, snacks, movies, crafts and sports. Planned activities will offer children the opportunity to develop confidence, friendships, relationships and communications skills. While the children are participating in their activities the parents will be meeting in the discussion room to learn strategies to support their children and support each other. **Please note that pre-registration is required for this program**.
Summer 2010:
Session #6 - July 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, August 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th (no group July 1st)
Fall 2010:
Session #1 - September 9th - October 21st
Session #2 - October 28th - December 16th (no class November 11th)
Winter 2011:
Session #3 - January 13th - February 24th
Session #4 - March 3rd - April 14th
Spring/Summer 2011:
Session #5 - May 5th - June 16th
Session #6 - July 7th - August 18th
Cost: $25 per family, per session - subsidy is available **Please note that pre-registration is required for this program**.
