A Call for Speakers!

Family Services Of Central Alberta is planning an event for Senior Women in Central Alberta.

The goal of Sharing Wisdom is to purposefully and consciously honour the gifts of all senior women and to strive to provide for their needs and well-being through this event. We plan to provide opportunities for attendees to connect with other women and identify ways that they can establish and maintain active roles in their community.

Our Breakout sessions are 1 hour long.

The following themes of interest have been identified:

Health and Wellness
Staying Active
Social Activities
Volunteering
Self Care
Personal Safety
Fraud Protection
Living on a Fixed Income
Medication Safety
Multiculturalism
Communicating with a Younger Generation
Keeping Current with Technology
Legal Topics (i.e. wills)

We are open to innovative ideas and emerging trends, so you need not be limited to the themes listed above. Submissions will be reviewed by the Conference Committee and selected based on:

Relevance to conference participants
Practical applicability of knowledge, strategies and tools
Experience and expertise of facilitator
Consistency with conference goals and objectives
Suitability to conference schedule

A modest honorarium will be offered to workshop presenters.
