Building Incredible Babies Education Support Group

Building Incredible Babies offers outreach services and an Education Support group. The Education Support group occurs twice monthly providing high quality childcare, transportation for group participants and a healthy snack. Group topics include prenatal nutrition, dental health, making baby foods, breastfeeding, cooking, healthy lifestyles, etc. Many community agencies help out with these drop-in groups by being the guest speaker.

The groups also help the moms build their own peer network and break their isolation. Breastfeeding is encouraged throughout the project and the moms who choose to breastfeed are supported in that choice. Post natal breastfeeding is encouraged by nutritional supplements as well as by the breastfeeding program. Post natal support continues until the breastfed baby is 4 months old.
