The Road Home Project
1. How does The Road Home Project work?
With our current economy, many families with young children are struggling to maintain their housing. This program provides support and information to families living throughout Central Alberta who have a child 0-6 years of age. 2. What services are offered?
- Trained Outreach Workers provide information and support in your home or in the community on a regular basis
- Educational workshops on topics determined by family needs and interests. Free child care will be provided during these workshops.
3. How will The Road Home Project help me?
Being in the program will help you:
- Identify and help you meet your family's needs
- Learn more about housing supports, subsidies and how to manage your home
- Learn more about providing a safe and supportive home for your children

"We needed many basic needs including an adequate place to live,
a place we could call our own, where my child would have their own room, bed and toys.
Together we worked on a course of action. Tirelessly, my outreach worker did research,
explored resources and regularly maintained contact with me. In a short time, all immediate
and basic needs have been met.We are very happy living in our new home.
From our experience, The Road Home is valuable, effective and it works.
The Road Home is an asset to Red Deer's community."
