Infant/Preschool Wellness Program - Information for Parents
1. How does the Infant Preschool Wellness Program work?
Parenting can sometimes feel overwhelming and the Infant Preschool Wellness Program can assist families in meeting tough challenges. This program provides support and information to families living in Red Deer who have a child 0-6 years of age. Services are free and confidential and include Outreach Support and Drop-in Parent Support Groups.
2. What services are offered?
- Trained Outreach Workers provide information and support in your home or in the community on a regular basis
- Children are screened for developmental milestones at various ages
- Access to our Agency Toy Lending Library
- Drop-in Parent Support Groups with childcare provided and help with transportation to and from the groups
3. How will the Infant Preschool Wellness Program help me?
Being in the program will help you:
- Identify and help you meet your family needs
- Learn more about parenting
- Learn more about providing a safe and supportive home for your children
- Understand more about your child's health and changing needs
- Be better connected to community resources such as employment or education depending on your needs
- Connect with other parents
4. How much does the Infant Preschool Wellness Program cost?
Being in the program is free.
