Individuals who present with significant mental health and independent living challenges may have deficits that suggest there could be organic brain injury due to prenatal alcohol exposure. Though it is inconclusive without a diagnosis and assessment, there are several common indicators of organic brain damage; some are consistently known to be due to prenatal alcohol exposure that many people living with FASD experience.
