Beginnings Marriage Preparation Course

A non-denominational program that is designed to help engaged couples prepare for married life together. It includes the elements of a growing relationship, communication, problem solving and more. It is founded on the view that marriage is a process of growth as two people attempt to bring meaning, love and fulfillment to each other. You will explore the elements of a growing relationship.

Topic areas covered:

Self: An in-depth look at who you are, how you came to be that way and what you expect in a marriage.
Family: A look at your family background, your values, expectations and ideas around marriage.
Communication: New information and experiences in effective communication.
Intimacy: An extension of communication skills in the area of sexuality.
Negotiation: Defining your differences and practicing positive problem solving techniques.

You will explore the meaning of marriage, the elements of a growing relationship, communication and the characteristics of mature love and sexuality. It is a time for you to get to know each other in a deeper way and to focus on your unique relationship.

When: Fridays 7-10pm & Saturdays 9am-6pm (with a break for lunch)

January 28th and 29th
March 18th and 19th

Time: Fridays 7:00 - 10:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am - 6:00pm (with a break for lunch)
Cost: $125 per couple
Location: FSCA - 5409 - 50th Avenue, Red Deer

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Program may be cancelled due to low registration. Participants will be informed approximately 10 working days in advance if this occurs.

In the event that the Beginnings dates cannot accommodate the participants schedules, individual couples sessions may be arranged. The individual couples program fees begin at $350.00. For more information please contact the program manager at 403-343-6400.

No refunds on courses that have been started and not completed.
Cancellations prior to course start will be refunded less 20%.
